S.W.I.F.T. Elite was established in 2014 and has become THE elite women’s basketball program in Michigan for students age 13-18 based right here in Kalamazoo.

     Tournaments such as the Nike Tournament of Champions (Chicago, IL) and other regional tournaments in WI, IN, OH, and even here in MI give our students maximum exposure to competitive tournaments.  All athletes are registered in the NCAA women’s basketball database offering scouts introductions to our athletes.

     While a focus of S.W.I.F.T. is to help our athletes reach their athletic dreams, our basketball program is much more than that.  Whether our athletes ever play professional basketball or not, they are learning the fundamentals of becoming young female professionals.  With companies placing much more focus on education, emotional intelligence, teamwork, collaboration and handling failure, we are preparing our athletes for a lifetime of success as productive members of society. 

 

     Basketball is the opportunity, but the lessons learned while being a member of S.W.I.F.T. go far beyond the court.

     College scouts now spend as much time watching how athletes act while sitting on the bench and after they make a bad play than ever before.  We are dedicated to instill values such as respect for authority, controlling our own emotions regardless of what is happening around us, and striving as a team to be the best we can be.
